If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be? However, after this, I'm planning to get Shockaholic and Wishful Drinking next. This was the first audiobook I've listened to by Carrie Fisher. Have you listened to any of Carrie Fisher’s other performances before? How does this one compare? But, if we're going to include movies, this reminded me somewhat of Trainspotting. I haven't read or listened to anything like this before. Some of the things the main character thought, were scarily similar to mine even though I've never done drugs much less been confined in Rehab. Yes, especially to those who deal with depression like I do. Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why? The plot centers on a 30-year-old actress named Suzanne Vale, and follows her challenges as she overcomes her drug addiction, gets back into the swing of things, and falls in love, sort of.This was filled with quotes that resonated with me Fisher beautifully brings readers the inside of Hollywood through a web of humor, drugs, relationships, Hollywood Party Terror, and much more. POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE is a semi-autobiographical novel based on the turbulent life of Carrie Fisher.
